In order to help users and also teamsters in their daily job, from now on all forums will follow the same rules Each forum will have 1,2 or 3 threads dedicated to transfer market. In these threads you can post - players on sale - open transfers - players\' requests It\'s up to the local FTs to decide how to organize threads. It could be one single thread for all, or 3 different threads, or just 2. All threads must be sticky. There will be a period of transition. FTs will be asked to open transfer market threads as soon as possible. Accordingly, The old ones with the old rules will be closed. From 2010 it will no longer be possible to acquire the TM PRO Diamond package as it is known today with infinite TM PRO days. People who already bought TM PRO Diamond, will of course keep it until forever. So today Woody finished the last part of the match engine. The national teams. We have had a very long and efficient test run and we feel the engine is as bug free as possible before a release. Now the only work left is on me and thomas\'s part. Here is a work list for the nerds: -converting injuries and bans to the new method [no more missing injury reductions and stuff like that plus better performance in the match night] - league update script changes. - sync of databases - finishing of the new chance texts acrobatic, to introduce a new type of finishes. - the load save function in the flash lineup needs to be finished. - test of livematch viewer. [b]Release[/b] Now the release is not entirely certain yet. It will most likely be when the new season starts because I am uncertain if the changes to the match viewers will make it impossible o watch old matches, and the new match format could mess things up in the season update. So the match engine status now is. We have fixed all the bugs reported in the federation for the new match engine. Currently left is implementation of NT matches, and testing of cup matches (extra time + penalties). Then a few update scripts and we are ready for a rollout :)

It has been a busy few days here at the HQ and so the updates to coefficients as well as the draws for the ICCs and the WC Qualifiers have been delayed a bit. Welcome to season 17 everyone. Our 300k+ clubs database was a bit of a heavy dancing partner. Anyway, here we are with a few \'details\' remaining: - Player stats are generating as we speak. It will be some hours before profiles look correct. - Historical matches will (hopefully) generate over night, making the head-to-head feature and trophy cabinets work correctly again. Here\'s hoping for a great season for all managers :) NB1: Don\'t ask about the new ME. It has nothing to do with season update. (Though, as should be common knowledge by now, it\'ll remain in testing for weeks to come.) NB2: We\'re low on manpower for the coming hours. So, post any issues you might have here, and apply patience, please. NB3: Before you post that it says season 16, try ctrl+f5, please.

Due to some human resource logistics, the season update will kick off a bit later than expected: Around 9-10 tm time on Monday. However, I\'m optimistic that we\'ll be able to open the site Monday evening. Cheers!

If you have a bit of change collecting dust in the club finance dep., I\'d recommend you search the transfer list for high ASI players. It\'s now bursting with national team players starting at ONLY 100,000,000!! Happy hunting :) If you have players to be saved, make sure they are in the squad Friday, 9 tm time at the latest, and I\'ll get them added.

Another season update is around the corner. It will go ahead on Monday the 14nth of September. Once again, we\'ll close the site very early on Monday - something like 0:30 am (tm time) - enabling us to start the generation of player stats and other heavy processes. So, here\'s the schedule as things appear at this time. The week leading up to the update goes like this: - On Monday inactive teams are marked for all to see. - On Wednesday the last round of league games is played. - On Thursday the draw for the 1st division qualification matches is performed. Also, the NT Sale is started by national team players from banned and inactive teams being put on the transfer list with deadlines expiring all through the weekend; ** Youngsters (age less than 18) is included if and only if they\'ve had at least one official appearance on the national team. ** The maximum age for nt rescue is 30 (included.) ** Players from \'available\'/\'pending approval\' teams are not saved. - On Friday division qualification matches are played. - On Saturday the NT Sale starts. - On Sunday the NT Sale ends. The season update process will commence on Monday where the site will be closed (and transfer deadlines postponed accordingly.) During the season update the following things are done: - Player awards, top goal scorer, MVP and U21-MVP, are handed out. - Player stats are saved. - Players who have announced retirement retire and old players who will retire after next season announce retirement. Players start considering retirement at 32, while keepers consider it after they turn 33. - Player injuries are reduced by 2-4 matches depending on med center and luck. - Player bans are left as they are, but any surplus yellow cards, which do not amount to a full one-day ban, are deleted. - Club stats are saved. - League and national cup trophies are handed out. - League and national cup bonus is handed out. - Inactive and banned teams are deleted. - Promotion and relegation is handled. - League, international cup and NT matches are laid out. - PMs which are more than 3 seasons old are deleted. - Next season’s national stadias are decided. Capacity as well as facilities count. - Youths which have not been drafted from the academy and who have turned 18 are deleted. - NT coefficients are updated. - The draw for next season’s NT tournament(s) is performed. - International club coefficients are updated. - The draw for next season’s international club tournaments is performed. - Match reports are converted to a less space consuming historic format. - Clubs with too few players in their squad receive \"crappy\" players to meet the minimum required, which is 20. The match engine has now started running on the test server. All pro members can gain access on test.trophymanager.com - you can still buy. There is 2 million matches to be played, I have no idea of the time required for this process yet, so it might be a season every second day. Right now match reports are a little bugged with some empty mentality texts (which also shows too many times), else please use our federation for the bug reporting.

Howdy TM\'ers! With the watchful assistance of TMHQ and some enterprising users in the USA/Canadian Regional forum, we have a fully-fledged upgrade to the Live Match Commentary that fixes a lot of bugs. The Live Match Commentary is the line-by-line display of your TM match, as imagined by your radio or TV announcer, inspired by Martin Tyler, that legendary English broadcaster. But just as the broadcaster doesn\'t describe every touch of the ball and every player movement, you shouldn\'t expect the commentary to do this either. Don\'t get caught up in every word and every movement of the ball, because there are clearly missing movements. However, some things ARE stated in the commentary and you should watch for these...specifically: the attack type, finish type and all the relevant players. For example, you can read the attack type by the words: all wing chances use the word \"wing\" or \"cross\", all throughballs use the word \"through\"...the same for long balls, short passes and counters. In the same way, you should be looking for the type of finish: header, long shot or close finish. And now to the players...here is where the original version of the Live Match Commentary fell short. The original version mistakenly omitted the defender about 20% of the time. Well, no more! No more missing defenders or absentee players on that mystery game-winning goal. Now when you want to know who to blame, the Live Match Commentary is there for you! These fixes have been integrated in real-time over the last few weeks, so those of you paying attention may have already noticed. For those of you who love lists, here\'s our review: * Added missing defenders to counterattacking, long ball, shortpassing, throughball and wing attacks. * Fixed incorrect attackers on corners and direct freekicks. * Sync injury types with match report. * No more \"A bad miss by \" on set pieces. * No more captains rousing the troops of the wrong team. * No more \"maybe his boots are too loose\" on header chances. * No more double \"What a bounce!\" * Removed all blanks. * Some negative commentary changed to less negative comments. \"bad miss\" to \"slim miss\", \"it was easier to score\" to \"Unlucky not to score\", etc. * Other English (UK) fixes: holler/hollar, rains/reigns, etc. Notes: * Freekick chances do not report a defender. Someone gets the foul and it affects that player\'s match rating, but this is not reported in commentary. * Colors will always be an issue because of the interchangeability of some lines, which are \"color-free\". And Remember! The Live Match Commentary is still a work in progress and will continue to evolve. If you see blank lines, missing players or other weirdness in your Live Match Commentary, please post here with a link to the game and the minute of the error. We will hunt down these bugs and eliminate them straightaway! The testserver is undergoing some serious fixes at the moment, it was a little too old to handle the pressure. I hope to have it all done by the end of the week, no matches are run at the moment, not even for diamond clubs. Keep following the announcements to see more.
