Collingwood may be top of the A League and flying but manager Amro has made no friends in the top Australian league according to respected SBS analyst Les Murray:
“One clear indicator is the fact that noone has replied to ANY of his garbage press releases. That shows a total lack of respect which is strange for a club coming first in the league. Perhaps if he stopped repeating the same thing over and over again, the other managers may take him seriously.”

i like amro. i think the reason no one replies to his press reports is most likely because a combination of respect and fear.

WOW ! LOL Ive hit a nerve, someone jealous?
firstly, Garbage press releases? well mine actually make sense and I will continue to give press conferences to add abit of life into it and to acknowlege my side !
U on the other hand ..ur press releases are nothing more than nonsense.. u ridicule everyone and make outlandish statements like i'll win this and that yet u only lose time and time again.......
secondly, Noone replies maybe because of unlike u, I actually make sense and when a side is flying top of the A-League not much is needed to be said....
thirdly, I would think that most mgrs take me seriously , yet i can assure u not many take u seriously as u talk nothing but garbage and dribble time and time again, now being a perfect example.
Yet u sit in the relegation zone while im top of the league after 16rounds for the 5th straight week in my 1st season! and that is tearing u up ...and guess what I LOVE IT ....
ur nothing but a fool for what u said mate and i will never ever show u any respect ur a tool buddy!

Another Divvy 3 manager here to comment.
GTU....you are green alright....green with envy.
As he says, no-one comments or replies, because he is talking about himself.....not slagging off at others.
All I can say is.......watch out for the rest of us Lebbo Aussies....we are coming to get you.....
Probably not me....I'm crap

Les Murray had a laugh and responded:
“Haha looks like my press release has touched someone else’s nerve. I suggest making press releases in Division 3 – you might get a response or two from your mates.”

I remember at the beginning of the season everyone said the new teams didnt have a chance of being in the top 5 and Collingwood was one of the teams. He himself has proved everyone wrong and good luck to him it great to see a fresh personality at the top not the same old same old.
This has created a great interest in 1st Division not just by 1st division teams but all teams as a whole thruogh all the division.
It also highlights that the lower divisions are getting stronger which is annoying to some 1st division teams.
I myself look forward to seeing a strong finish in the 2nd half of the season in 1st Division it is enjoyable to watch.
1st division teams are getting closer in skill and no one can guarantee a win which is only healthy for everyone.

you better not talk too soon, we might be in the same div next season and then you would have nothing to say and would have to let your management do the talking. if its anything like your management in the last 5 or 6 seasons then we all know how that will end.
amro is right, you speak garbage

GTU manager Iwasaki rubbished the Division 3 nobody's ridiculous statements:
"Hahahahahaha mate you are proving how much of a dumbass you are. Do you actually think clubs get promoted by finishing lower than 8th? Hahahahahahaha!
FYI - we finished 5th last season and we are competing in the RoW Cup.
You should take Freo's advice - I'm toying with you and making you out to be utter stupidity."

i stand by my comments and everyone knows it. you are a near useless manager in relegation zone. you have a massive mouth and only run it when you win. you bag other managers when you know nothing about them and did i mention that you are a pathetic manager and your team is in relegation zone.
if you wanna talk down to people you better back it up otherwise you end up getting put in your place

“How many times do you want to edit your posts to correct your stupidity? Hahahahaha – classic.
Luckily I quoted your original post so everyone can see how dumb you are and laugh at your stupidity. I’m a nice guy - I like to share laughter with others.”

Fremantle United I remember at the beginning of the season everyone said the new teams didnt have a chance of being in the top 5 and Collingwood was one of the teams. He himself has proved everyone wrong
Is true, a lot never gave the newly promoted teams much hope of qualifying for a RoW Spot at the beginning of the season, but the truth is none of them have achieved anything yet, so I find the comment that he has proven everyone wrong is a bit of a joke. We'll see where he is come the season end. It's only mid season and anything can happen between now and the end of the season.
I personally rate the Collingwood squad for future success, not just now, I might be proven wrong, we'll will just have to wait and see.

I believe not just collingwood but several previous 2nd division teams have done well this season in division 1.
You have Collingwood, Chemango and Sydney they dont have to finish in the top 5 just staying in division 1 is a success story in itself and finishing in the top 5 is a bonus.
I believe they are very well managed teams.
They dont have the finances to just go buy any player they want in the second half of the season. Does buying the best players when your in trouble make you the best manager I dont thing so. I think it shows your a rich manager above others creating an uneven playing field.
In saying that I look forward to the second half of the season and one thing not all Managers can buy all the great players these are limited.
I do look forward to watching the tactics used by the experienced Division 1 teams in the second half of the season.

GTU manager Iwasaki has labeled Collingwood yet another crybaby of the A League:
“Hahaha Amro – mate you can’t be serious. All I said was noone replies to your press releases – this is a fact and it sounds like you’re wee bit hurt by this lack of respect. Toughen up princess.”

I have respect for Collingwood, I do not reply to his thread because we are fellow promoters, and i already said in one of the topics that i respect his managment.
Majority of my replies and post are very very random(and most of the time have nothing to do with the topic)
So i figured i'll keep his topic nice and clean as he is deservely first.. as for Mangos.. we have dropped.. therefore i'm now no longer in the limelight. and it's the Pies turn, So good luck to Collingwood and hope he keeps it up!

Alas I am anothe manager from Div 3, but I impressed greatly by the effort and management skills of Collingwood. Not only does he lead the A League by 4 points, he has built a great team and has an impressive youth program going.No-one expected much from him this season, but he has proved that all have a chance to succed and to those who try to belittle him, I'd say humble pie and lots of it would be on the menu for dinner.

Dyno manager Kamma had this to say
"GTWho manager Iwasaki asked a valid question and the answer is a resounding YES. obviously lots of people care about Collingwood. looking at the support from all the managers from all divisions he has their respect. no one respects iwasaki. After his teams poor start to the season he has earned a new nickname around the leagues, they are calling him Iwasackme. He is completely pathetic, tries to talk it up like the big boys and he sits in relegation zone. Haha"

PSM Riot Squad Manager Jake Generic has come out in a rare show of support for his GTU conterpart
"There's a lot of trash talk coming from lower down division teams about GTU struggling in the 'relegation' zone, but it's easy to call shots like that when they're back in div 3 and 4 and all the inactive teams are filling up those spots. Infact, it's pretty hard to be in relegation zones when only half of the division is active! And despite the fact Collingwood FC are for now on top of the league table, like AU said, it doesn't actually mean shit. That's where they need to be at the end of the season and we're not even half way through. Until Collingwood as been a regular A-League competitor for a couple of seasons (like GTU already has) you can't compare the two managers success at all. Credit where credit's due for Collingwood with their great record of only 1st and 2nd positioning, but it'll be interesting to see how they cope when their little bubble (inevitably) bursts, and they have to learn to tough it out mid to lower table for the first time ever. That's where managers skills are tested the most."
