(2) questions to me (I cannot promise to answer all)

You might learn something from me, I might learn something from you as well.

the questions shouldn't be simple ones like in the help forum, but questions trying to extract from me the information that (with a bit of luck as well) made me the Champions Cup holder. They shouldn't be about anything that is included in the manual. for example, "how to choose trainees?", "should i focus on training certain positions or all types of players", "what is the most important position in the field" and "what affects your line-up choice" are legitimate questions.

With the word 'crimson' in your team name, is it not a little daft to have an entirely blue logo?

i have 1 which was included in the 4 ;)

do you think having a very close rival is a big motivation for the game when you are at the top?
its obvious that Fimo was a big challenger to you in having many close battles in the league and cup

Something that's always been a bit of crapshoot for me, that maybe you could shine some light on, is buying youths off of the transferlist.

With there being so many youths on the TL and a limited number of scouts how do you find the hidden gems?

I mean it's obvious when there's a big time talent because he'll be on the shortlist of all the big teams and his price will be enormous, so I don't think they would really qualify as hidden gems.

I've seen a number of teams talk about guys they snagged off the TL for a few hundred thousand dollars that end up anywhere from 10k to 50k ASI.

I'm just curious if you have any pointers on how to spot these players that fly under the radar, is there a certain set of criteria you use when you search the TL for youth bargains?

Why could the "golden generation" in Denmark never manage to play well together on the NT (you know, players from season 1 with the mega asi)?

Poor managers yes :), but could/would there be other reasons?

Sometimes the asi was 5-10 times higher than the opponant, and main skills... - stars almost all the way arround....

Nobody in Denmark got the answer and it is killing me.......

That doesn't really have to do with Crimson, and has been asked in the help forums. And it was told that they would be given when they've found out that the servers can handle 100k PRO users.

Yes, rivalry is important and motivating. The game is more fun when titles or wins are not guaranteed. Fimo was a great rival and friend. He's back though with a new team. But it will take a long time until we are in the same league again.

there is no such thing. the best lineup depends on the expected lineup of your opponent. But to learn who can play what position, read the manual.

1. grades based on only 4 games dont mean much
2. Uzi sometimes takes set pieces. Since its almost impossible to score with direct free kicks with the current engine, taking free kicks adds misses to the player performance, lowering his grade. Still he had about 7.20 average last season which i think is quite satisfactory.

I only started in season 3, and really understood the game a bit later. I cant access the old games so I dont really know.

To find a hidden gem, the key is to scout a player less likely to be scouted by many others but still likely to be talented.

if a player has 10,000 ASI at age 18, he will be scouted by many. if he has 300 ASI but you have other indications he may be talented then scouting it may result in you finding a hidden gem.

Example for an indication of talent: Player owner has level 10 youth squad and is in bad financial situation (otherwise its less likely he would sell a real talent).

another example: player with low grades in his main stats which you think will still develop correctly. I bought siwiak for only 140k because his marking was 6 at the time of the purchase. But I had reasons to believe I could get it to a satisfactory level - he had a lot of tactical talent left in him according to the scout, and little physical and technical talent left. So it was clear most of his remaining training (which was considerable) would go to defensive stats.

How do your pay your wage bill? Is it simply by selling the youths that you do not require?

What was 'the maestro's' TI during his bloom?

1. Yes, I do have to sell players. But since I was able to find / develop many good talents, i am able to survive without selling the players most important to me. Sometime they are amazing though, only I dont need them. For example I have Silverstein as a DR plus 2-3 more than can play the role quite well. So if I develop a great DR, he will most likely be sold.

2. the maximum was 65 TI.

Do freekicks affect the average rating of the set piece taker?

Ive heard somewhere that if the freekicks/corners are not well targeted in a match, then the set piece taker will have a lower average rat in this match. Is this true?




Should i ever use the "All out attack" when i play with teams that have much lower average skill??

I would like to know your opinion about team adaptability. Some claim that there is sth. like a team adaptibility, ie when you change tactics your team has more chance of losing.

1. This is correct. Negative actions, such as missing a free kick, reduce player rating.

2. it depends. I will take an extreme case to make the point clear. All your players have 5 in all skills. all his players have 2 in all skills. But you both have good keepers with 13 in all skills. A 0-0 is likely because most shots will be missed and the ones not missed will be stopped by the keepers.

playing all out attack will increase your chance of scoring, without increasing your opponent chance of scoring by much, because my understanding is that it only lowers your defence ratings, but his forwards are still unable to shoot well at the goal.

So in this situation, yes.

One can easily build situations when it wont pay off (as above, changed)

of course, another important thing to remember is, will you be satisfied with a draw, or do you have to win? suppose its the last game of the season, you are 3 points ahead in first place but with poorer goal difference than #2. And you now play #2. I wouldn't play all-out attack in a situation like that.

They also started out (were selected) in yhe latest EQ. They played togehter again for 3-4 matches and resoults was once again poor. Nairobi, Uistot, Webmore and I, all tried to make it work, but for some "strange" reason it always went down the drain...
I'm not talking about the first seasons of the game, just wont your point of view on the problem. Could still call most of the guys up today, but it just dosent work :)
